A petal for your thoughts (see it's a pun!) #1: Welcome!! & doing what you love
Welcome to my blog! I want to do some things you want to see so make sure comment if you want me to do something on here! Anyway recently I was in a play. A lot of people liked it and I started thinking about how I have been less reserved lately. The more I thought about that I realized when I put myself out there most of the time it was received well! It's very important that people in general remember that even if you may have haters you doing you is an awesome thing and most of the time people will like you for you! Thinking this way is new for me. I have social anxiety so I spend way too much time think about what other people will think of me. I have realized that the thoughts I have are wrong most of time. So i'm working on that. What is something your working on?

Magic ice cube DIY!
Sometimes on a hot day small children can get a little temperamental. So I came up with a way to cool off and will keep people busy. Everyone who I have made this for likes it and has fun trying to warm up the ice cube to get the treasures out.
What you will need:
A container to put your water in (I used a mini bundt pan to make it a cool shape)
Little water proof trinkets and treasures (I used coins, legos, marbles, beads and rocks but you can try almost anything out!)
Water
A freezer
Time (you do need about 20 minutes to an hour before you add the next layer becuse you need it to freeze)
Step 1: Gather
I found things around the house in junk drawers, our playroom and outside in our yard. Just look and see what you can find!
Step 2: Layer and freeze
Take 5 to 7 items and lay them a the bottom of your contater. Put just enough water into your container to cover your items (don't worry if some of them float). Repeat until you run out of items or you reach the top of the container. If you have a little space left you can put a layer of just water to seal in the items at the top. BONUS IDEA: Add some food coloring to your water for fun colors!
Step 3: Have fun!
Take your mold out of the freezer and run warm water over it to detach it from the mold!
Then set it outside and play! I have found that that the kids I have done this with really like trying to get the treasures out with there hands which is an awesome fine motor activity.
You are done Yay!!

Favorite music right now!
So I planned this to be a super long post with the reasoning behind every song and what not but I have not been feeling all that well so I am not going to do that. But I will explain the (more obscure) genres and why I like them! So let's start!!!
1. Nightcore: what it is: nightcore is music that has been altered so it will sound more like anime. Basically the people who remix it will speed up the song and make the pitch higher. why I like it: I find the faster beat and highlighted pitch to be fun and danceable (but once a teacher told me it sounded like a dentist drill)
2. Kpop: what it is: korean pop! why I like it: there are 3 different main styles of kpop and kpop videos. Cute, cool and crazy and that is why I like it! I love the cute bouncy melodies of some songs and more harcore ( :P ) sonds of others!
3. Studio killers: Yes I know that this is a band. why I like them: they are an anonymous band from the uk that has bouncy pop and synth beats YAY!!

3 Ways to beat the heat!
It is HOT outside lately although where I live it is cooling down (the average here is 82 degrees fahrenheit/ 27 degrees celsius) if has reached over 100 (37 c) in the couple of weeks so why not some tips on how to survive the rest of august!
1. Drink water!!!: Dehydration and heat stroke can be BIG problems if not treated soon after it takes effect. Water helps the body cool down and stay hydrated! If you don't like to drink water useing water flavoring (some of them are not all that good for you so I like to look at this article for reference.) or you can put some fruit in your water for a little bit of sweetness! You can even add a little fruit juice! (but really water flavoring is not good for you so make it your last resort)
2. Use sunblock: Sunscreen is important when you are going to be outside so make sure to reapply every two hours or after swimming. You also need to wear sunglasses and big hats to protect yourself from UVA and UVB rays. You should always use sunscreen 30 SPF or higher and avoid spray on sunscreen due to inhalation risk. (use this guide to help you in your sunscreen journey)
3. Have some fun!: Make popsicles, go to the pool or barbeque! Have fun!

Diy Poster!
So I am a total fangirl and I need music to survive so I am a HUGE fan of some artists and bands. I spend probably way too much buying there music so I can support them meaning that I have no money to buy there murch! I really want some posters for my walls so I decided to try and solve my problems by making my own posters!
What you will need!:
The internet
A free collage or photo editing software (or you can pay I can't make choices for you)
Scissors
Optional:
Packing tape or a laminator (I will be useing tape to make sure my posters are a little more durable so recommend it but you don't have to)
Step 1: go to the internet!
Look for pictures of what you are looking for!
I am making a cat poster as an example
Then save the pictures to your computer
Step 2: make it a poster (online)
I am useing BeFunky it has a lot of free templates to use so I really like it.
just look for the template you want and you are ready to go! When you are adding your pictures you just have to click on cell you want the picture to go into and tada a finished poster!
Step 3: Print
Since you can't print directly off of BeFunky you can take a screenshot and email it to yourself to print it out. You can also put it in a google doc or word document and print it from there!
Step 4: Tape Or Laminate
You don't have to do this step but I will so increase the life of the poster. If you are lamenting then just follow the directions for the laminator and you are done! If you are useing tape then it is a little more complicated. Take your clear packing tape and cut a strip that is wide enuf to cover your paper lengthwise. Place it on your paper and repeat with slight bit overlapping between the stips. Repeat on the back. (You do not have to make the tape overlap just make sure there is no space in between the tape strips so it does not tear)
(The example is black and white I am out of color ink sorry)
Step 5: Trim The Edges
Cut the edges to neaten the poster!
Sorry for the bad photo quality!
